About me:
Hardcore casual- I like to game when I can. Sometimes I'm hardcore, sometimes super ultra casual. I may be at every raid/event for a few months, then drop off with some forum communication while I work my ass off in school or RL obligations. I prefer PvP games, but I like to craft and explore more than gank. I like team play and structured environments- left on my own, I may get all the grind gear and awesome farmables, but without people to help or a goal in mind I'll get bored and quit the game. I really look for friends and a team I can play for.

Favorite moment or experience in gaming:
Asheron's Call 1- Taking over Rithwic with my friends as newbies, even killing people with atlas weapons until being run out of town into a lowbie dungeon that our enemies could enter. Also meeting my friend who suffers from short term memory loss for the first time, who tried get me to my home town but kept forgetting who I was or what we were doing.

Asheron's Call 2- Holding the best PvP city from enemies, working with my brother and 2 friends as a rear guard, killing scouts, until finally the city was over-run. We helped everyone escape the town, with the four of us being among the last to get out. My brother held them off while the rest of us escaped and waited for a few minutes for him to arrive. Right when we thought we'd lost him, he portaled in, barely alive. Also, solving a world event riddle- an NPC needed a special item in order to end city invasions. We finally figured out what the item was, but didn't have the numbers to kill our way there. Due to my specs, I was elected the delivery guy. My friends buffed me up and sacrificed themselves so I could deliver the item, which, as we thought, was indeed the correct item needed and ended the enemy's reign of terror =D

World of Warcraft- Coming back to life as a priest in an arena game from a trinket as the last man standing against the enemy's last man, who was nearly dead. Rose back up, doted him, and ran away before he realized what happened. We won =] Also, world PvPing with my brother, getting camped by a griefer but eventually getting revenege and killing them as they respawned while we farmed stuff for him. 3 hours later, on the WoW server forums, we see the guy had made a post complaining that we were camping him too hardcore when, in fact, we were just playing the game and HE had been trying to grief us.

OH! And "the game"- back in the MC days of WoW, after so many of our guilds fell apart, merged, etc and still being forced to work on MC to gear people, my brother and I worked out a game- who could die the most without wiping the raid. If the raid wiped, it didn
t count. Enhance shaman (me) vs. warlock- I won =D

Darkfall- The Nifflheim Civil War! 5 days of hardcore sieging going on 24 hours a day. We lost and gained cities, including our own, which we won back at the last minute after defending against the best mercenaries in the game. It took it's toll on the guild, but there were so many ups and downs, so many humiliating defeats and skin-of-our-teeth victories that it's hard to describe the whole ordeal. Also, dealing with a pirate under my raft as I taught a new recruit how to pilot it. At one point, I got off the raft to see if we'd lost him, only to find him hiding behind us! I barely got on the raft and got the newbie moving before the guy boarded us. As soon as he got on, I knocked him off, but he shot some painful magic at us. The newbie made some evasive manuevers and I told him to head back so I could get some clean shots at the guy. I was low on health, but the would-be pirate was caught off guard by the move and I nearly killed him before he ran away. We back tracked a bit to make sure we weren't followed, ran through the forest, into a cave, through an underground river, into the harbor cave of our alliance capital, and banked the raft so it wouldn't be stolen. Epic.

Type of Gamer: Explorer
Computer Performance: Needs Upgrading
Internet Connection: Cable Modem
Hours spent gaming per week: 15-30 hours

General: Non-gaming: Movies, animals, langauges (working on my linguistics master's degree in ESL), Japanese, cartoons, literature and creative writing (BA in English), food =D, science news, humor, music (though usually not modern popular music). Gaming: Earthbound/Mother series, Chrono Trigger and Cross, Pokemon series, MMOs, exploring, crafting, pvp, sometimes some RP.
Games: Non-MMOs: Earthbound/Mother series, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana, Mario Kart series, Smash Bros series, Primal Rage, Pokemon series, Zelda: OoT, Mega Man series (not the battle network stuff, never touched it), Mario and Sonic games, probably more.
Music: Aside from ethnic music, usually stuff like Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Daft Punk, Blue Oyster Cult, Weird Al... it can get varied, but I don't spend a lot of time looking for new music. It finds me.
Television: I usually use TV more to help me sleep than anything, though if I notice some of these are on, I watch =D: Venture Bros, Misadventures of Flap Jack, Squidbillies, River Monsters, Whale Wars (though I side more with the Japanese AND I'm against Whaling), Metalacolpyse or however you spell it, Moral Oral... mainly cartoons and animal shows. OH! Freaks and Geeks, saw it just last year and I actually liked it.
Movies: Empire Strikes Back, the other 2 from the original Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Disctrict 9, V for Vendetta, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1, Super Mario Bros. Movie (guilty pleasure), Dr. Strange Love, X-Men 1, Spiderman 1,
Books: Lots of Mythology, mainly Greek, Norse, and Egyptian, but it's what I can find. Paradise Lost, Age of Innocence, Of Mice and Men, Siddhartha... too many to think about atm, though I'm not a Dan Brown fan (don't ask). I like some fantasy/sci-fi but I'm VERY picky, which is why I usually stick to mythology and science journals.

There's no favorites.

Game Expierence:
Discuss the games you have played and why your expierence in them is important.
Asheron's Call 1- taught me the basics (templates, classes, specs, dealing with PvP and loss of gear, setting up traps, theory crafting and application, game information research, fan site use, etc), got me into lore, RP, and team work involving otherwise strange character specs that work together fantastically, world event participation. Asheron's Call 2- Started to get me involved in player communities, managing myself on forums and controling clan/alliance propaganda (and avoiding it), exposed me to pvp on the guild/faction/alliance level (as opposed to solo/friend pvp level), guild management, diplomacy, minor faction leadership, guerrilla warfare tactics, PvP traps, world event team work and leadership, game physics exploration... plus some more RP development. Horizons- Built my love of crafting and resource management, game economics, world building, player run events, and some RP development. World of Warcraft- More exposure to running the guild and its members, allies, raiding schedules, and distribution of loot, plus class leads, inter-guild officer/member liason, running with PUGs, lots of healer work, more game economics, server transfer planning, lessons in theory crafting vs. practical application, time management, communication between guild and PUGs in BGs, and probably some other stuff. Darkfall- Recruitment and Officer duties, resource development and distribution, more player run events, helping RP guilds to develop in games lacking RPers, guild diplomat, inter-alliance communication, back-up clan leadership in emergencies, long-term PvP wars, rationing of supplies in emergencies, money management, city building, solo suvival vs. clan survival, scouting, retaining guild members, damage control via angry/quitting guild members, cross-server diplomacy...

Raid Expierence:
Discuss your expierence and accomplishments in raiding. Include what roles you have played during them.
Mainly I have experience as healers, CC, and DPS, though also tanking recently, though not as a consistent tank (for some bosses once in awhile). I've been part of or loaned out to high end raiding guilds in the past, but lately, I prefer to PvP or just play casually with friends, who are in fairly well to do guilds.

Guild/Clan Expierence:
Discuss your past Guilds and why you are no longer with them and what you have learned from them. Include your role within the guild and also if you are currently in a Guild today.
AC1: Knights of Pwyll and Wren the Blurry's Blurrians, plus alts in Blood, Red Devils, and some other pvp guilds during my Darktide times, though I wasn't too involved in those guilds. Mainly, I learned that you have to stick with the people you like, rather than who may be "right" in an argument that involves a split, plus to join a clan where I can get along with people, rather than just any clan that invites me. No longer with them due to leaving the game. In KoP I was an esteemed member due to my game knowledge and patron's good name. AC2: Nature's Call: Helped with some recruitment, was a guild crafter and offered an officer position but turned it down to remain an officer/member liason. Guild disbanded. Azerphael's Sarcastic Kingdom- Keep your friends close and your enemies closer ;) Don't isolate you and your friends from the guild at large. Sometimes doing the thing that's best for the server involves leaving behind those who you enjoy hanging out with most. I learned that high communication about not just the game but the people in it is VERY important, especially in PvP games where friends IRL may be eenemies on the field. Oh, and how to keep secrets and deal with people, in that if you don't go around blabbing secrets, people are more inclined to tell them to you, which allows you to better understand a situation and mediate than if you just put everything on the table. I learned that people need to talk to each other to solve their problems, but if that fails, a good mediator that all parties can trust will help solve a problem as well, at least for awhile. No longer with the guild since it lead its faction to total server dominance and PvP stagnation. Blues- Own guild, mainly friends, taught me to work with other guilds in my faction and how to use my reputation to rally support. World of Warcraft: Da Plunderin' Pirates: Taught me to never join a guild just for loot access, and that dishonest officers will ruin the guild for anyone who isn't in their personal group. Left/was booted after guild attempted to screw over our raiding allies and mentioned to the officers in private that I was losing faith in their ability. Darkfate/Tribes of Fate- Guild leaders have it really rough, as do officers, so I acted as a liason between members and the higher ups to increase communcation and solve problems as soon as possible. Learned about merging guilds and server transfers. Was offered officer positions multiple times but turned it down to remain a liason. Guild(s) disbanded and transfered to other servers. The Black Chaos (Suramar)- Taught me to speak only when a very strong can be made (i.e. if the guild leader is filling the raid with his friends, you can't argue much, but if he's kicking out founding members when he takes control, changing guild policies to give himself better loot, and is secretly looking for a new guild, then you can argue against him). Was a member and, this time unofficial member/officer liason. Left with a friend but still communicate with some of the members and on friendly terms now that the old leadership's in control. Three Inches of Blood (Suramar)- Regular member, still part of them but the character is played very rarely. Blacklisted (Dragonmaw)- Casual member, only there for friends. The Yew Militia (Darkfall Chapter)- see above game experience. Officer and recruiter. Still part of the guild but not really playing the game.

Expertise:
This is where you can brag about what makes you special. Are you a master of your class? Great leader? Do you listen well? Try to stand out from the crowd!
I'm good officer material. I'm known for keeping a cool head when everyone else is seeing red or black. When the chips are down, and people are quitting left and right, I'm there holding the stitching together while searching for extra hands. If I want something done and have the clout, I'll get it done. If a leader's needed and no one else can fill in the position, I can hold down the fort and get the real people in charge up to snuff as soon as possible. I don't crave power, and would rather just be a member if officers are capable of handling the guild, but things go wrong and I'm usually called upon. I'm patient and very loyal, usually donating more than most people, and usually getting/needing little in return. I'm the guy that can amass gobs of resources and helping to power the guild as long as I feel I'm being supported as a player and person. As a player, I'm usually fairly competent, maybe more on the advanced end with knowledge but have some hard time executing things. I keep up to date on game news and fansites, looking into the theorycrafting stuff, but also into practical applications (i.e. theories involving melee damage per second without accounting for chase time, movement, etc, as opposed to ranged classes who usually don't have these problems nearly as bad). If people need to know something about the game, they usually talk to me, even if I don't play their class or side. In PvP, I'm reslient and loyal. I'll run out to be the first to die, scout, guard, whatever's asked of me. If I'm told to stand on a rock for 5 minutes and wait for backup, I'll stand for 20 if it takes backup that long to get there in most cases. I know how to be a team player, in that if I'm given a job, I assume it's because I'm expected to be capable of carrying it out, and I assume others are capable as well. I won't play super-man/Kobi unless the group shows to be disorganized and/or if told to do otherwise.

Beta expierence:
Are you a Betaholic? List all the games you have helped Beta Test and in what phases you took part. If you are a member of the press or a specific organization please include that information as well.
AC2, WoW, Horizons, Ryzom... probably more that I can't recall.
