Tips for League of Legends, free game from the developers of successful Warcraft III mod DotA

The basics of this game are simple enough. So I am going to skip the basics, because most of it you could learn just by signing up at the above link, downloading the game, and playing one round. And I can promise, it would be atleast slightly more fun then reading this guide.

To list simply the advantages that most noobs miss:

- Items are best bought in order to “build up to” better items. Simply click on a 3000+ cost item, and the click on one of the times underneath it on the “build up” tree to buy whatever item you can afford, this goes towards the overall cost of the final item, and allows you to buff throughout the game.

- Bushes are hiding places, in the beginning of the game, never run into the bushes to check for enemies, there is a %33 that you will be ganked then and there.

- That being said, it is never a bad idea to lob an AOE into the bushes while waiting for the match to start.

- The enemies tower will target you the second you attack an enemy champion while in range of the tower.

- Try to stay in the lane as long as you can before porting back to base to gear up. This of course changes due to match conditions, and how you are going to play in that given moment.

- The game is not stay in your lane and push forward. It is a dynamic gank fest. Plan to change lanes often, and take advantage of every opportunity to kill that enemy your teammate has gotten to low health, be aware of travel time though.

- Always gear to fight your enemies, are they casters? Buy magic resistance. Are they all stacking magic resist and you are playing a caster? Buy magic penetration.

- Your team is your most valuable commodity aside from yourself, skills, social and otherwise.
