  • Digital vs hardcopy

been gaming along time and one of my proudest assets is my game collection. I don't get to play them as much as collect them now so to speak due to time constraints (job, wife etc). I love the look on my friends face when they come over and see my investments. I fear that someday this will all be a thing of the past as digital distribution seems to becoming more trendy. I hope that their will always been games on store shelves. I love admiring the great and somtimes aweful artwork but reading manuals, game merchandise etc. I understand it saves alot of money for publishers but they also can demand whatever price they want to charge as well. Testament of this would be Xbox live or PSN where the digital copy is sometimes nearly twice as much as a new game found at retail. I love going to a retail outlet and finding some bargin bin gem on a game that deserves to be played but maybe didn't get my whole 60 bucks. I am sure other people feel the same on this issue. I am pretty sure Gametstop does as they make a huge amount of money on used games. I would honestly be willing to pay some kind of royalty tax on a used game if they came out with it to make sure developers get something from their hard work. Just make the amount 5 or less! Game on people. May your collections grow.
  • Underagers playing "M" Rated games.

It is very disappointing for what games are out there for the adult world to be invaded by youngsters. Sorry, kids, I know you want to play them, but it is just as illegal as drinking underage. If there was a way to report kids online for playing games they shouldn't, I would. The "Call of Duty" series has been ruined by youngsters, badmouthing, tea-bagging, and sending arrogant messaged via messaging system. In short, we adults would like to have our own gaming experience with out own age. Easy to say, you kids ruin it for us. Some of us have been gaming long before you were born. But stores want profits and parents want to shut ye up. All the same, I am glad franchises such as GameStop and EB Games uphold this code, but parents break the law for the children so they don't have to deal with the kids. I would love to see all systems have a report system if there are underage players playing "M' rated games.
