General Questions- Hello, I'm new. Where do I begin?
We made

GameFriends Guide to
Getting Started you should become very knowledgeable about our awesome
community. We thank you for signing up and look forward to your unique
perspectives, knowledge, and creativity. Be sure to check the rest of the FAQ
when done with the guide. - What is GameFriends?
GameFriends is the fastest growing Gamer Social Network since 2006. Formely known as CharacterPlanet.com, we took what we learned during our Alpha testing and rebuilt the site from the ground up. When it was all said and done we were reborn as GameFriends.com. GameFriends provides services for both hardcore and casual gamers. Examples include the Guild / Clan Hosting as well as the ability to track your entire Video Gaming History. GameFriends is the only network to give 100% of its user generated Revenue back to its Members, which includes YOU. It's time you take your share of the billion dollar pie. - What's so different about GameFriends?
GameFriends has been likened to "Facebook/Myspace for Gamers" since it keeps a database of all Virtual Personas through "Character Profiles" similar to how Facebook and Myspace have done for real life individuals. - What are Character Profiles?
Character Profiles are synonymous with a person's online Virtual Persona(s). Whether you play an Orc Warlock in World of Warcraft, or a friendly socialite in Second Life, GameFriends archives and tracks your Virtual Persona(s). GameFriends also tracks and helps connect Console users. GameFriends lets members enter their Handles for Xbox, Playstation, and the Wii, as well as other prominent gaming services such as Steam and Xfire. Working closely with powerful databases such as Allakhazam and Console developers, GameFriends' tracking of Virtual Personas means NEVER losing touch with a gamer again. Same principle as Myspace/Facebook for the Virtual Worlds - Add your Persona's so friends from the past can reconnect, or meet new friends playing similar games. The "Exit Game" Screen doesn't dictate when a relationship ends anymore. - Who created GameFriends?
"GameFriends was an idea I had around 1999 when I couldn't find my old guildmate. I never had any outside contact information like ICQ, so I just lost track of him. This was my Big Idea moment when I realized gamers like myself really valued their virtual personas and needed a way to make them searchable, not just for EverQuest, but every game imaginable." Dan Anton CEO and co-founder. Created with the help of younger brother and co-founder Matt Anton, GameFriends is bigger than any one individual - it is a community for Gamers, by Gamers. - Is GameFriends for all Gamers?
YES! GameFriends is all inclusive, meaning it does not take preference from one gamer to the next. GameFriends, however, does not focus on outside game issues such as pop culture or music bands. It is simply about video games, all the time. GameFriends services such as advanced Guild / Clan hosting are available for Online Players of Games such as World of Warcraft, Halo, and Call of Duty. Other gamers can take advantage of the ability to track ones entire Video Gaming History, from Super Mario to Guitar Hero, as well as the other major components which make GameFriends not only a large community passionate about games, but functional as well. - How can Members Make Money Online with GameFriends?
