Lost Saga, a game managed by OGPlanet. Although the game itself is fun, it has some serious downfalls related to the company hosting it but other then that it's great.

Lost Saga, a game with a choice of several different heroes and a new one being released every two weeks. For the most part this game is enjoyable to anyone who likes strategy and teamwork. If you're interested in giving it a try, here's a link: http://lostsaga.ogplanet.com

 

They say "Heroes from Myth, Legend, Sci-fi, and History Unite!" Well as of right now, there is no heroes from legend so this statement itself is a lie, but I'm sure they'll get to that part... However this was also judged in my review.

 

I'm not going to flatter the company although I enjoy playing the game which is being hosted by OGPlanet there is very limited choice of modes and several imbalances. Let's begin the harshness of my review.

 

First there is the tutorial that you must go through when you start a new account, I have to admit this was done pretty well they even teach you a special combo to use with your first hero earned: Shadow Assassin.

 

Next they tell you to join a fight room, well there's only four modes and each one has its own downfalls and pros.

 

A unique aspect of this game is how when you defeat your enemy you can either take his/her equips for that match/life or mix and match.

 

DEATH MATCH:

 

Every man for himself, there is no teams and there is no mercy you could say. Everyone is striving to see their ranking be #1 in this mode, and this mode is for the very competitive type and those who can use any trick they can learn.

 

PRISONER:

 

A purely team based mode, each player only has one life and if you lose all your equips and are hit... you are then a "prisoner" as this mode implies. If you are killed as a prisoner you are out for that round, that's that. The idea of this mode is to capture all the other team before they capture all your team, this mode is currently reported as the best earning of in-game currency or "Peso."

 

TEAM MATCH:

 

Similar to Death Match except it's with teams, this mode pits red versus blue and the team with 100% kill score first wins. Usually this mode requires a team with good teamwork, and is probably one of the most commonly played modes in the server.

 

BOSS MODE:

 

This mode is a modified Team Mode, except it goes by a timer like Death Match. One player versus all, the one player who is boss is 'giant sized' and deals ridiculous amounts of damage. With each new player in the room, the boss becomes stronger and harder to kill. With my experiences in this mode, when you first kill a few players you get ridiculously regeneration as boss, but the longer you're boss and the more you kill you shortly lose that health recovery for kills. This mode is common for the players who just want to cut back and have fun.

CASH SHOP

 

The only thing that irks me about cash shop is how you have to pay $10 per "Female Hero" not only did this irritate me it caused a shift in my rating too, as this falls with customization.

 

Pretty much Cash Shop players get to buy special bait for fishing, which I'll cover next that makes them guaranteed to catch actual things fast. Not to mention cash fishing rods which help speed up catching.

 

Another benefit of cash shop players is to buy megaphones allowing them to send messages to everyone on the server, not to mention 'permanent heroes' Yeah I forgot to mention this part right? Each hero you get is timed for 2 hours unless you stack the time or it states otherwise.

FISHING:

 

Fishing in Lost Saga makes absolutely no sense at all and really serves no purpose other then a chance to get more peso then you do while fighting. You go to the ledge in a plaza and hit the fishing icon, if you have a rod and bait it'll start the fishing animation and you can buy more bait with peso or cash, but I already covered that. You earn a new tackle box slot, which is a slot to the tackle box which holds your catches each 10 fishing levels.. Or you can just buy more slots out of cash shop. Not a big deal.

GM ACTIVITY:

 

As far as the rules go, the GMs aren't really doing a good job on their game. People not from the country the game was intended for run free and even think they control the game. I can't really comment much on this or else it'll involve my personal opinion too much, but let's just say this goes along false promising.

 

GM activity in events is great though, they hold contests giving all players a chance to earn various unreleased heroes and things. Not to mention the Faction Battles against a GM.. Oh wow I forgot to cover that, getting to it.

FACTIONS:

 

Factions are pretty much equivalent to what you call "Guild Wars." Order vs Legion, the two sides that players can make a guild for cash or 50,000 peso... Depending on the rank of the guild, determines how many members it can have.

 

Faction Battles are pretty much the same as normal battling, except with special rules and benefits... The cool part is you can participate in these even if you're guild-less!

OVERALL:

 

Pros: The gameplay itself is pretty good, OGPlanet does good with events and as far as cash vs free goes it's not too bad compared to most other games I've played.

 

Cons: Customization itself is lacking, the company is throwing false advertising like mad and they need to work on their enforcement.

I give OGPlanet's Lost Saga a 6.5 as my final review judging all these...
