Echelonedwow RP realm Guide

Easy to read guide, with most of the needed information

Greetings everyone, My name is Stefan and this is a small guide for the private world of warcraft server 'EchelonedWoW' (realm #2 RP)

Many of this is copy-pasted, simply because that's easier and better then writing it myself and possibly making mistakes.

Got any questions you can't find in this guide, simply pm me and I'll try to answer them.

Let's go:

The first impression you get when starting is different for each person depending on the time and race you start with.

The blood elf starting area is a very liked area at this time. You will find a few proffesional players (and occasionally Admins) there, but also many random noobs wearing OP (overpowered) custom gears constantly PVP-ing (on a RP realm...)

Still this server is, once you play there for a while, a very nice RP server.

With the commands you can get, and the recently added .phase commands, the RPs CAN be very good here.

RP's here can be very creative.

Often seen RP's are : Travel, Survival and School.

Most RP's lately are guild RP's, so if you want to RP a lot but dont want to be in a guild, this is probably not your kind of server.

This server has so much things  that I'll try to make it a bit more easy to read by splitting it into parts.

1. Command list

2. Ranks

3. Realm rules

4. Donations

1. Command list (Created by one of the echelonedwow admins)

Regular Commands

These are commands that are available to non-donors upon joining the server. Some commands require voting for increased capability - these will be marked with a "*". (Donator Commands)

Commands will be listed in this format:

Syntax (How the command is inputted) A description of the command and its uses

N.B., for the sake of visibility, I will use a "!" for these commands, however, a "." works fine as well. Also, I will use < and > around variables that you choose.

DO NOT TYPE THE <>'s WHEN YOU USE THESE COMMANDS.

Modify Commands

!mod hp This will change your current maximum health. Current health is the amount of health you will actually have out of that maximum when the command is used. For example, !mod hp 1 10 would give me a maximum hp of 10, but set my current hp to 1. Current health MUST BE lower than the maximum, and both must be above 0.

!mod mana This will change your current and maximum mana. It follows the same rules as !mod hp.

!mod rage This will change your current and maximum rage. It follows the same rules as !mod hp.

!mod runicpower This will change your current and maximum runic power. It follows the same rules as !mod hp.

!mod energy This will change your current and maximum energy. It follows the same rules as !mod hp.

!mod level Simply, this changes your level to whatever you input. Maximum levels are different for different realms. On Realm #1, the maximum level is 99. On Realm #2, the maximum level is 81. Levels cannot be set below 1.

!mod gold This adds COPPER to your inventory, despite the name of the command. For example, !mod gold 10000 would give 10000 Copper, which is 100 Silver, which is 1 Gold. Think of it like this: Whatever you type for the amount, cut off the last 4 numbers - that is how much in Gold you will receive. If the amount (in Gold) exceeds the maximum programmed by Blizzard, your inventory will have all its Gold removed.

!mod talentpoints This gives you more talent points to spend at your leisure in your talents menu. (Some talents do not allow you to put in any points at all, so don't be concerned if your frantic clicking isn't working!)

!mod scale This changes your character size by a factor of the number you input. For example, if you type !mod scale 0.5, your character would be HALF its original size. Likewise, if you were to type !mod scale 3.33, your character would 3.33 times its original size. There are limits, however. The minimum scale factor is 0.01, and the maximum is 4.5.

!mod speed This changes your character's running speed. You character's default speed is 7

!mod spirit An oddly named command, since it actually modifies your STRENGTH stat. For this command to take effect, simply equip / de-equip an item.

!mod displayid This allows you to mount any NPC's model (yes, even Illidan and the Lich King). To get a display ID, target the NPC you want to morph as and type !Npc Info - then just look for where it tells you the display ID. Some models display a a generic white morph, while others appear fully coloured. If you are not mounting a beast of some kind, you will often be sitting on an NPC's arm. To avoid this, ask nicely for someone to cast Video Invis on you, and remove your weapons.

!demorph Removes the effect of !mod displayid.

!mod emotestate A rather obscure command, this sets your character to repeat an emote until you move. This emote does not appear in chat channels, and other people cannot see you performing the emote. Its only real use is for screenshots, or testing out emotes before you put them on NPCs.

Teleportation Commands

!start Returns you to a racial starting area. For example, !start orc or !start troll would return you to the Valley of Trials in Durotar.

!recall port Teleports to a recall port location.

!recall add Creates a new !recall port location at your current position.

!recall delete Deletes a !recall port location.

!appear Appears at the selected player's position.

!appear off stops other players from !appear'ing to you.

!appear on Enables other people to !appear to you.

!gps Returns the co-ordinates and Map ID of your current location.

!worldport Allows you to teleport to a specific location, given that you know the Map ID and the X, Y and Z co-ordinates. These can be found out using the !gps command.

Tusker is an expert at using !worldport, and is currently developing an add-on to make using this command a lot easier!

Item commands

!lookup This allows you to search the database for any item. simply type the item name (or part of the item name) and it will give you a list of any items it finds - it will also find their Entry ID's, which you will need if you want to add or remove them from your inventory.

!additem Once you've used !lookup and found the Entry ID, simply input that ID into this command and it will add it to your inventory. The amount part is entirely optional, but can help if you want to add many of one item - the item must be stackable.

!additemset Similar to !additem, this will add an entire set to your inventory. Unfortunately, !lookup will not find sets! You need to go to http://www.wowhead.com or http://www.thottbot.com and search there. To get the ID, look at the last set of digits in the URL.

!removeitem Does the opposite of !additem, instead this REMOVES items from your inventory. Quite useless for one or two items, but if you've added hundreds of one item and you want to get rid of them all quickly, this is the command you need.

Learn Commands

Note: Only learn donors and above can learn anything other than class spells.

!learn Teaches you the spell that corresponds to the spell ID. To search for spells, use http://www.wowhead.com or http://www.thottbot.com

!unlearn Unlearns the corresponding spell from you.

!learnskill Teaches you a skill, and sets your current and maximum skill level. It is much easier for you if you make the current and maximum the same. This command is also necessary for learning the mythical UNKNOWN ID's.

!advanceallskills Advances all of your skills to this amount. This includes all weapon skills, armour skills and trade skills.

!advanceskill Advances by . This includes all weapon skills, armour skills and trade skills.

Gobject Commands*

Note: Spawning is completely restricted when in the main world. You need to be inside a phase with the correct permissions to allow spawning.

!gobject spawn This is your basic spawning command. Simply type this, input the Entry ID you want, and the object will spawn at your feet.

!gobject select This selects the nearest object spawn point to you. You can only select your own objects.

!gobject delete After selecting an object, this will delete it. If no object is selected, it will not do anything.

!gobject lookup This is the !lookup command for objects. Same rules as !lookup, it will return a list of objects that match what you searched, and their Entry ID's.

!gobject info After selecting an object, this will return information about that object, including its name and entry ID.

Npc Commands*

Note: Spawning is completely restricted when in the main world. You need to be inside a phase with the correct permissions to allow spawning.

!npc spawn This is your basic NPC spawning command. Simply type that, input the Entry ID you want, and the NPC will spawn at your feet.

!npc select This selects the nearest NPC to you. (Clicking an NPC and targeting it as you would in combat has the same effect)

!npc delete After selecting / targeting an NPC, this will delete it. If no NPC is selected, it will not do anything.

!lookupcreature This is the !lookup command for NPC's. Same rules as !lookup, it will return a list of NPCs that match what you searched, and their Entry ID's.

Cheat Commands

Because no server is complete, without a hack, a glitch or cheat! We only have cheats.

!cheat god The staple cheat of Echeloned - this prevents you from dying, or being damaged.

!cheat casttime This makes all spells and abilities instant cast.

!cheat cooldown This only removes the GLOBAL cooldown of 1.5 seconds from spells and abilities. It does not remove cooldowns unique to spells. For example, it will not remove the 8 second cooldown on Fire Blast, but it will allow you to cast Arcane Explosion several times a second.

!cheat triggerpass This allows you to enter any raid dungeon without needing to be in a group.

!cheat power This allows you to cast any spell or ability without using mana, rage, etc... However, if a spell costs more mana than you currently have, it still won't cast. You need to have sufficient mana/etc to cast it, but when you do, none of that mana/etc is used.

!cheat fly Allows you to fly as if you were on a flying mount!

!cheat land Disables !cheat fly and lets you fall again.

Phasing Commands

.phase enter - Command will phase you into the specified phase ID. The phase request will only be accepted if none of the following conditions are true:

   * If the phase operates on the blacklist method:
-Your character has not been banned by the owner or officers of the phase.
-Your account has not been banned by the owner or officers of the phase.
   * If the phase operates on the whitelist method:
-Your character is not on the whitelist.
-Your account is not on the whitelist.

!phase exit - Command returns you to the main world.

!phase create - Command will create your own phase if you do not already own a phase. Your phase name must abide by our policies. The system will not accept names longer than 35 characters. When created the system will assign a unique phase ID to you - it is crucial you do not forget your phase ID!

!phase delete - Phase owners can use this command to destroy their phase wiping all objects, NPCs and members. If you delete your phase unintentionally it is your fault do not expect assistance with reversing your mistake!

!phase kickplayer - Kicks the specified player from your phase.

!phase listcharacter - Command will blacklist or whitelist the character specified depending upon your phase user allow setting.

!phase listaccount - Command will blacklist or whitelist the account specified depending upon your phase user allow setting.

!phase unlistcharacter - Removes the character specified from your blacklist/whitelist.

!phase unlistaccount - Removes the account specified from your blacklist/whitelist.

!phase addmember - Adds a member to your phase member list. This command grants the user unrestricted access to your phase and the ability to spawn and delete his/her own objects/NPCs.

!phase removemember - Removes a member from your phase member list. This removes their ability to spawn and delete their own objects/NPCs.

!phase changelisttype - Alters your user allow method from blacklist to whitelist and vice versa.

!phase promotemember - Promotes a member of your phase to officer rank. See above for officer permissions.

!phase demotemember - Demotes a member of your phase back to player rank.

!phase info - Prints out minor statistics of your phase. Any user in your phase is able to use this command.

!phase showmembers - Officers and owners only. Will display a list of all members on your member list.

!phase showofficers - Officers and owners only. Will display a list of all officers on your member list.

!phase showcharacters - Officers and owners only. Will display a list of all characters on your member list.

!phase showaccounts - Officers and owners only. Will display a list of all accounts on your member list.

More information on the phasing system can be found here.

Miscellaneous Commands - these come under no other group of commands

!gmon This puts you into Game Master mode. You will be able to understand all languages, and have a pretty Blizz symbol next your name.

!gmoff The opposite of !gmon.

!gm Shows all online players, and their permissions (whether they're a non-donor, donor, donor-min, or admin)

!renamechar Changes your name. It has a cooldown on it, so you can't repeatedly change your name. It also requires a relog for it to take effect.

!enableannounce Enables you to view the announce channel.

!disableannounce Disables the announce channel.

!setstanding Sets your reputation with a faction to a given amount. Generally, 1000000 will get you to Exalted.

2. Ranks

Player Regular players are people that haven't donated to the server at all. That DOES NOT mean they can't be good RP-ers. Regular players can be the most proffesional players on the server, they just haven't donated.

Donor Donors are people that have donated for anything but Donor-min. It's possible they donated for .learn, .go, displayid2, .npc, DB and several spaces names, but not for DM, so they will still be seen as Donor.   It's not possible to guess if a donor just donated $1 for a spaced name or $100 for DB access.

Donor-min Donor-mins are people that donated $100 for DM. Donor-mins have .kick and .mute and if trusted enough .ban. They often act like gm's and go to RP's to portal/kick ruiners, Explain commands to players, and several other things. Keep in mind that donor-mins simply donated $100 and are sometimes very abusive and see no reason to help others.

Moderator Moderators are people that are trusted enough by the administrators to gain the ALL powers of the server, including Permanent IP bans. The only difference between Mods and Admins are the Autority.

Administrator Admins take care of all abusers and other rulebreakers. No one is allowed to go against the Admin words.

3. Realm Rules (Copy-paste from the eche site)

No impersonation of EchelonedWoW Staff, this includes: Game Masters, Administrators and any other staff of the KhellMirror Network, this also includes anyone else you shouldn't
We do not use 'admin' in our name, why should you? You are also not to have any names/aliases of any EchelonedWoW or KhellMirror Network staff member in your name. You're not them, if you're a fan - That's great, you're still; not them. Yes, this most definitely includes claiming to be someone you're not. There is no second chances with this, you will be punished by a permanent removal from our servers.

No excessive swearing
In most cases, once may be overlooked. However, this is to be enforced at an administrator's discretion. Swear excessively, and you'll find yourself punished. Please keep in mind that even though you can swear, we still frown upon swearing. Also, using a swear word multiple times in a short frame of time could also be be considered as excessive swearing; it doesn't all have to be in one phrase to be considered as excessive swearing.

No offensive, vulgar or generally inappropriate comments
It might be one thing to swear, usually that can be overlooked. But what is discussed on EchelonedWoW, should be appropriate for everyone. For example, do discussions of a sexual nature even bare any relevance in regards to EchelonedWoW or World of Warcraft at all? No. Think about it for a moment, this is an Emulated World of Warcraft server, you're here to have fun and play a game; not to cause trouble and upset or offend or even disgust others. If you think anything to the contrary, expect a punishment.

No racism
EchelonedWoW has a strict zero tolerance policy towards racism, commit an act of it, and you'll find yourself permanently banned.

No pornographic/offensive/shock site material is permitted
There is no need for this, as with racism; a zero tolerance stance is taken on this too. Expect to find yourself permanently banned for this also. This includes spelling out a URL, or simply mentioning them by name. There is absolutely no excuse for this, there is no point where you should be required or feel it necessary to mention any of these sites.

Cheating or linking to a cheat site - Currently Funserver only
By cheating in an online game, you are only cheating yourself. All it will get you is a permanent ban from EchelonedWoW.

Names should consist of between 3 and 16 characters (no special ASCII characters, only the letters A-Z and a-z)
Use some common sense here, names should reflect perhaps a role playing character or a 'gamer alias' you've picked up, for example. Names are not to consist of long and winded titles, and no excessively repeated characters either.

No Warcraft Lore related names are to be used on Server #2 (RP)
It was decided by the community to restrict the use of lore related names on EchelonedWoW's Role-Playing GM Server. An example of this, would be renaming yourself 'Arthas' or 'TheLichKing', role-playing is about creating your own character's story not just plagiarizing someone else's work.

No discriminatory/sexist/prejudicial remarks or offensive slurs/comments
Discrimination of any kind is not acceptable here, nor should it be anywhere else. EchelonedWoW believes that all people are created equal, and so you shall be treated like that.

No threatening behavior towards other players, regardless of permissions
You are here to have fun, not to threaten other players and especially our staff. For example, if you've been banned, you can lodge a ban appeal in the Abuse Reports/Ban Appeal forums (see below). If you come into one of our servers, threatening and swearing and god knows what - Expect the action taken against you to be far harsher. Threatening behaviour, especially that of extreme violence is not taken lightly here. Threats towards the staff are not taken lightly either. If you have a legitimate concern it is to be addressed to either Khell or crayner, evidence must be submitted. False reports will not end well for you.

No harassment of other players, regardless of permissions
Again, you are here to have fun and at the same time you are to respect the rights of others. Nobody should have to put up with ill treatment.

No use of names that are offensive to other players, or names that would fall under these rules
Pretty straight forward, names should not also contain defamatory slurs towards other people - Whether they are a part of EchelonedWoW or not.

When asked/directed by an Administrator to do something. You will follow those directives.
If you are asked to stop doing X thing, you will stop - Or face possible action taken against your account. As a player here, you are to abide by our rules. This is not a lawless society, if you think you can do what you want you are seriously mistaken.

No spamming Chat Channels
Again, pretty straight forward. If you've got something to say, say it once and I'm sure people will hear and respond. If they don't, perhaps they're not interested. However, if you come here simply to spam and disrupt players and their activities - Don't expect to return. Spam doesn't necessarily have to be flooding the chat, it can include other nonsensical rubbish that has absolutely nothing to do with World of Warcraft or EchelonedWoW at all.

Donors are strictly NOT to teach spells, spawn NPCs or Objects for regular players (those without the required commands)
You've donated for the commands yourself, it is expected that they're used for your own personal benefit. However, you are also entitled to use them for your Guild; such as making a Guild base. Note: It is no longer possible for normal players to teach other players spells.

Please do NOT ask an Administrator for a list of commands, skill IDs, spell IDs etc
This information can be easily found here on our Forums or elsewhere; a quick Google search will likely help you find what you're after. Please do not bother us with this, as we're most likely busy dealing with something else.

No advertising, especially about other Emulated servers
We've dealt with this on a massive scale in the past, bans of this type are never removed. If any EchelonedWoW players are found advertising 'us' on other servers, they will be banned here. It is not and has never been a policy of EchelonedWoW to steal players from other servers.

No disrespect towards EchelonedWoW Staff, Administrators and Game Masters
We're here to keep the peace and enforce law and order, if you have a problem with an administrator's behaviour or actions. They are to be addressed to either Khell or crayner, you do not speak out against an administrator or Game Master ingame - Abuse towards a member of staff is not taken lightly. "Admin Bagging", such as general defamatory slurs about a specific member of our staff will not be taken lightly either, they're here to do a job. Not to put up with that kind of crap.

No breaking the law/discussions of illegal activities
Every action you take here is logged, in serious cases your ISP and the relevant authorities may be notified. You may also be subject to subsequent legal action.

Do not interrupt Role Playing activities
EchelonedWoW has a thriving Role-Playing community, especially on the GM servers, with the advanced access to the game in terms of what can be done. These activities are not to be disrupted but 'outsiders' , such as those who wish to come in and kill everyone - Effectively ruining the RP. Do not do it, we ask you kindly to observe these player's rights to some peaceful fun.

ERP or "Erotic roleplay/Cyber sex" is a restricted activity
Erotic Role-Playing is only allowed in your own phase and/or in private areas where you cannot be caught. If you are caught ERPing, you will be punished.

Bugs and exploits are to be brought to the attention of an administrator, not abused.
If a bug or exploit is found on any of EchelonedWoW's realms, send a PM, detailing the possible exploit to any member of our administration team. You may be handsomely rewarded for your assistance.
