Hello Gamers;

 

Ok, I know your not suppose to play online at work in fact most offices frown on it, but I have found I am usually more productive and less lazy when I have a game running in the background now of course you can't really play star Wars or World of Warcraft while at work but having a simple puzzle game running in the background something to do between phone calls and meetings can and usually does keep my mind productive and active.  I wonder if I am the only one who has noticed this?

 

 

 

Hello to all you out there;

I first want to thank Matt and Dan for welcoming back it is great to be here.  I am slowly updating all my Character profiles, I hope you can all bare with me as there have been many changes.  I am currently playing Star Wars Galaxies and WOW.  I hope to see all of you on and look forward to enjoying some serious game time.  Here's to hoping we all get that chance.  Thank you again for welcomeing me back.

Hello to you all!

In recent weeks it has been asked of me why I am not online or in game as much as I usually am.  My work life and personal life are normally very quiet.  Plenty of time for me to game and chat with all of my wonderful online friends.  In recent memory I have had more then my share of computer related issues as well as some major work related issues.  I am hoping that it is starting to settle down and that this means you will see much more of me online.  I hope you can all forgive me if I have caused any of you any issues because of computer malfunctions or just in general busy life.  Here is to grabbing everything in life and enjoying it all.

To all you Bloggers out there who also happen to be gamers.

     I have a question that you can take seriousily or you can laugh off if you want.  Ok the question is how come as a female gamer I can never meet a guy who likes games as much as I do and who would like me for me?  Now I know it sounds silly but the real truth is that while I am running around World of Warcraft, City of Heroes/Villians, or even Dungeons & Dragons Online I see all these other gamers some of which I know have to be men and I think some of them have to be single like me, wondering why they can't find a woman who understands the virtual world as well as the real world.  Where are you all, LOL!  Now don't get me wrong I have met some totally fabulous guys here on  Character Planet and also in game.  The issue is that most of them are married or busy.  While they are great people where are the guys who are some what like me?  Got any answers because I don't. 

Though many people use vent to help themselves, I have found that those people who don't use vent, use short cuts in there typing while chatting.  The problem being that many times while chatting I have not the time energy or mental ability to figure out what they are saying.  Usually due to the fact that I am in the middle of a fight or something else so even if I read the chat I can not reply to it.  At least in a vent server while playing a game I can usualy hit a button and vocalize my opinion or give my advice with out having to scrafice my toon or any mental capability to figuring out what some ment in what they typed their short cut in chat.  So please for your team mates please get Vent, or if you choose teamspeak even.    

I am experienceing an interesting trend at my level that I do not understand, maybe some of you can help me understand it better.  My main toon for Wow is Jazzie at level 58 she is a cool toon, but unlike so many warlocks I am finding myself with little ability to level on my own at this level and I do not understand it.  I want to respec but I am not really sure what I should respec to.  I don't seem to do alot of damage nor am I able to stay alive very long.  As well as I know I do not play a warlock to the best of my abilities I would apperciate any imput you may have on how I can play my toon better and if you think I should respect and what you think I should respec too if my current spec is not right.

To all my fellow gaming bloggers:

I want to thank you most sincerely!  You are all the greatest people and I have met some wonderful new people that I hope with time and sincere efforts on all parts will be great friends.  Over the years I have had my friends who are not gamers tell me that the poeple I have met online are fair weather friends.  Except that my online friends never leave me hanging, always help me out when I ask. Listening to me complain when I die usually from my own stupidity. Friends are hard to come by and I just want mine to know that I care for and respect each and everyone of you.  You all are the best, most wonderful people and I hope that we will be always as close and as well-knit as we have been.

I am not sure how anyone else feels but I have noticed that running a guild can be a rather thankless job.  Most people want an active guild that they don't have to be active in.  I have gotten so tired of the petty bickering going on between members and guild leaders. Of setting up websites and checking in with people who write up complaints.  While I know everyone wants to have a good guild, there is a fine line between knowing this is a game and keeping your word to fellow players.  I hope that when you read this blog you will take into account your own guild try to be kind to your guild mates think about how your actions while in game and on Ventrilo or teamspeak represent you to your fellow players.  We all want to have fun and we all need to help to make it that way.

I am a trashy romance novel reader!  Yes, I did admit to it.  The interesting thing about this is I have found that it made me a better World of Warcraft player due to the fact I think that these books are well researched.  The battles and fights that happen in these books have a strategy that some might find usful.  No I am not trying to tell you to read romance novels but I found it very interesting that my game play improved because of that.
